Finnish imagery for international employees

We asked the client for direct feedback on the three-day shoots, which were executed on a brisk schedule with 25 Keksi models, two photographers, two producers, a stylist and makeup artists. We read these responses with satisfaction. But at the same time, we also consider how we continue to develop our operations. At least we learned this: for a band's playing to look credible in images, they actually have to be allowed to play.

What was the collaboration about?

"Keksi was selected through a competitive tender as a collaboration partner to produce new images for Work in Finland, Business Finland and ELY Centers. The project was part of the EU-funded 'Kokka kohti Suomea' (Towards Finland Together) project.

In connection with the renewal project for employer-targeted pages, we wanted to renew the pages' imagery as well, and also offer new images for use by other parties promoting the image of Finland. One of our goals at Work in Finland is to promote diversity in Finnish working life and communicate to international professionals that Finland is a multicultural and open country, so in addition to high quality, having diversity visible in the images was important.

High-quality and successful images are extremely important, as we want to convey a realistic picture of Finnish society through images and support diversity in Finnish workplaces. Because the images will also be used by other parties promoting Finland, they must also reflect Finland's competitive factors globally, which include: safety, closeness to nature, equality in working life, work-life balance, and the importance of family and leisure time. We are creating the image of Finland for international employees together, and successful and high-quality images are extremely important, as websites are often the first place where an impression of the country is formed."

Tight timeline — how did it work?

"Keksi's highly efficient project management had a huge impact on staying on schedule. Of course, we had also tried to provide as clear a description as possible of what we expect from the images and what needs they will serve. Thorough review of plans and project scheduling ensured we stayed on schedule. The Keksi team was extremely well organized and communication flowed smoothly throughout the project. Keksi's project tools were functional and easy to use and also helped the project run smoothly. The project team at Keksi was flexible and decisions could be made swiftly."

What are Keksi's strengths from your perspective?

"At Keksi, they truly understand the client's needs. The price-quality ratio is excellent, as is the openness of interaction with the client from start to finish of the project. The image usage rights are also the best compared to competitors — unlimited by media or time. You often exceeded our expectations during the project. As an example, even though the timing for outdoor shots fell perhaps on the most difficult possible week, when the year's worst autumn storms were raging, you produced fresh and bright outdoor images. Keksi indeed has strong professional competence, broad expertise and solid experience in executing similar shoots. Work quality is visible throughout the project, from the quote to extremely successful model selection and shoot execution. Quality-wise, the images were exactly what we were looking for.
