Tuomas's special field is photographing the built environment. Thanks to his architectural background he's able to ingeniously combine his knowledge of photography and architecture.
Given that a building has a longer life cycle than its builder, the purpose of the building and its relationship to its creator changes. This gives rise to multi-layered narratives which Tuomas wants to express with his pictures. Pictures should have depth, layeredness as well as points of contact with history and the environment.
Total idleness provides the perfect counterbalance to work. Travelling is in Tuomas's blood and he can always be contacted somewhere or other in the world.
