Mikael enjoys photographing interesting events as well as people, both in the studio and on location. Mikael's special skill is to use a collage technique so that his pictures verge on illustrations. When the photograph and other elements succeed in interweaving realism and imagination, the result is eye-opening and insightful.
Mikael is fascinated by the multi-layeredness of pictures, but also by their clarity, streamlined elegance and graphic quality. First and foremost, the picture should have a meaning, i.e. the picture is not necessarily self-explanatory.
